Compressor Mechanic
Job Description:
24-37nnn Overview: Assists with maintenance and repair activities on gas compression and/or process equipment at customer's location, as directed.n nnEssential Duties:n- Maintains a safe and well-organized work environment.n- Works with others to perform Call Outs (CO), Preventative Maintenance (PM), Major Maintenance (MM), Overhauls and MOB/DEMOB.n- Performs Call Outs (CO) with assistance from a technical expert. Learns to diagnose and repair mechanical problems on multiple compressor configurations.n- Completes and submits required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion.n n Non-Essential Duties: Performs other duties as assigned. nnAll employees shall be in compliance with the Archrock Health Safety and Environmental Policy and local, statutory and/or regulatory requirements at all times. nnSkills and Abilities:nAbility to:n- Perform all essential duties.n- Develop proficiency in order to perform quality, efficient work with less assistance.n- Begin to demonstrate customer service skills.n- Read, write and speak English (work orders, manuals, etc.)n- Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.n- Use basic computer skills, including Internet Explorer and Outlook.n- Respond to afterhours request regularly on an on call basis. nnKnowledge:n- Knowledge of or training in relevant HSE procedures and regulations.n- General mechanical knowledge.n- Basic knowledge of electronics.n n Minimum Education and Certification:n- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.n- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.n- Gas or diesel engine and compressor school/training preferred.n n Minimum
